The EP was chosen as ‘EP of the week’ by David Dee Moore on his Folk Friday Radio Show: “Deserved EP of the week, really really good songs Mick’s put together. Well recorded in Soundcraft Studios, mastered by the fabulous Richard Dowling. He’s done it all right, he’s recorded good songs and produced them to top quality. If you like your folk singing, if you like your stories listen to Mick Brown. This is a lovely EP”, David Dee Moore, Folk Friday Radio

The EP has received radio play on various radio shows since its release including: Galway Bay Fm, Midwest Radio, Shannonside/Northern Sound Radio, Radio Kerry, Tipp Midwest and Global Irish Radio.

Mick was the headline act in a gig at the Michael J Quille Centre, Kilgarvan last Saturday 6th April. He will be supporting Padraig Jack at the Bridge of Song, Castlebar mid-May ’24. More gig announcements to follow.

Mick’s previous song releases, Somewhere Further down the Line (Nov 2022) and Huckleberry Finn and Me Line (Aug ’23), and most recent release of Song for Brigid (Feb’24) have received widespread radio play throughout Ireland, and also in the UK. With influences including John Spillane, Christy Moore, Liam Clancy and Bob Dylan, it is easy to be drawn to Mick’s music.

During his live shows Mick likes to engage the audience with good humorous banter about his travels up and down the byroads of life. Songs are embellished with tales of the inspiration for his original folk songs. Audience members are invited to participate on a journey through song.
